We need to increase their useful life. We also highlight the role of digitization in the sector to increase the efficiency and diversification of the service\u201d.<\/em>\n\n<em>\u201cElectricity is vital for a country to prosper. We have to guarantee this service, but the price is also essential &#8220;<\/em>\n\n<em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13606 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.OLACDE.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Silvia_Emaldi_Presidenta_UTE-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>\n<\/em>\n\n<em>&#8220;Digitization is essential to be able to balance demand and make the electricity system more flexible.&#8221;<\/em>\n\n<em>\u201cIn <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Uruguay?src=hashtag_click\"><em>Uruguay<\/em><\/a><em> we will be improving investment in transmission and distribution networks and in everything that has to do with <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/digitalizaci%C3%B3n?src=hashtag_click\"><em>digitization<\/em><\/a><em>. We plan to invest around US$ 40 million in transmission \u201d.<\/em>\n\n<em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13608 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.OLACDE.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Rodrigo_Castillo_A.G.Chile_-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/em><em>\u201cChile today goes hand in hand with the sun and the wind and has all the capacity to become an <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/energ%C3%ADa?src=hashtag_click\"><em>energy<\/em><\/a><em> powerhouse.
