The Ecuadorian Committee of the Regional Energy Integration Commission (ECUACIER) together with the Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Resources of Ecuador held, on February 20, 2020, the workshop called: “Guidelines for the Development of the Ecuadorian Electricity Sector”, whose objective was to summon the authorities and professionals of the electrical sector to exchange experiences and criteria oriented to establish the guidelines of policies and strategies, that allow the Ecuadorian electrical sector to be prepared to take advantage of the new tendencies in the energetic, electrical and technology fields of information and telecommunications.
This meeting was attended by the Director of Studies, Projects and Information of The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), Andrés Schuschny, who presented the Energy Outlook of Latin America and the Caribbean 2019 with special emphasis on the analysis of recent and future developments of the electrical systems of the region.
