Within the framework of the ETRELA project, through the Renewables Academy-RENAC platform, five online courses were implemented for Argentina (2), Peru (2) and Uruguay (1) in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy. These courses were free to access and had 342 participants from 11 countries in the region.
The virtual courses correspond to: architectural design for energy efficiency in buildings; legal and economic aspects in solar photovoltaic and thermal systems; legal and economic aspects in solar photovoltaic and wind systems.
In the remainder of 2020, the RENAC platform will implement 6 more online courses and a Train the Trainer program that will be held in Argentina, Peru and Uruguay.
Likewise, through the Training service of The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (CapevLac), two study plans have been implemented so far that include high-quality modular training, consisting of a basic, intermediate course and a cycle of webinars on lessons practices.
During this study plan, which has been freely accessible, more than 1,000 participants from 28 countries in the region have registered. These plans have addressed issues related to the operation of electricity generation systems, electric mobility, formulation of renewable energy projects, among others.
As planned, it is expected that by the end of 2020, five study plans and three executive programs, in blended modality, will be implemented.
Improving the capacities of the region’s specialists and technicians in terms of renewable energy, mainly wind, solar photovoltaic, and solar thermal, is the objective of the training program implemented through the ETRELA project.
